Here we go with our final look into the powerful and effective discipline of prayer. Check out Part 3, if you haven’t already: http://www.melindaknight.com/prayers-that-work-part-3/
Amen. So be it. When we say “Amen,” we are putting a declaration of agreement on something; we are saying “let it be,” “so be it” or “yes, that’s true.”
The bible tells us there is great power in agreement. When you “Amen” something that is said, you are bringing the power of agreement of what is said into your life.
Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” NIV
Ecclesiastes 4:12, “A person standing alone can be attached and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.” NLT
The bible also tells us that 1 can put a thousand to flight and 2 can put 10,000 to flight. When you say “amen,” you bring the power of 2 speaking it into your life. That’s a whole lotta power!
