Take Me at My word and live like it

As I was thinking on Peter, I thought of several things that occurred…

he took a step on water, turned his face towards his surroundings,

in fear began sinking and called to Jesus who

lifted him up, spoke to him and calmed the storm.

All the onlookers believed.

It’s this huge message encapsulated in a matter of only a few verses.

The Lord began to speak to me. If it resonates with you, let His words do what only they can.

This is what the Lord spoke…

The storm is deafening, blinding, piercing.

There is an accusing spirit giving a tongue lashing to My people. Every time you lift your voice or share the love, it’s defensive anger reverberates on the walls and issues.

It wasn’t Peter’s perfect walk but

Peter’s faith. His courage that brought many to believe in Me.

Remember that I Who woo the hearts. It is I Who saves. Not you. It’s not a result of how eloquent you speak or how perfect your walk.

You are not responsible for their response.

Salvation belongs to Me, the burden rests on Me.

Have courage!

Speak what I tell you. Walk by faith.

Take Me at My word and live like it.

You have felt the sand between your toes of the character forging path, in a deserted land. Exposed to the harsh heat beating down on your head and enduring salty sweat on your brow.

Wilderness.

You have been awakened in the night by the hollow echoes of isolation.

Alone.

You have been chided, assumed, a scapegoat for someone else’s fear and shame, blackballed and mocked.

Rejected.

I Am God in the wilderness and God in the palace.

No matter where you find yourself, I move in that space.

I spoke creation to be, in a dark, lonely and chaotic space.

Whether it is Joseph, Esther, Peter, Moses, Sarah, Abraham or you; the interrupted dream, physical limitation, isolation, weakness is only breeding ground, breathing room and space for Me to show Myself strong.

On their behalf. On behalf of a people.

A nation.

On behalf of you.

I have seen.

I have heard.

I have come.

Draw near to Me and listen as I speak what you need to hear.

Turn your eyes from limitation and gaze toward Me.

I am leading you.

Enoch was taken to heaven before he saw his last breath. He lived by faith.

How? How did he please Me?

Take Me at My word and live like it.
