Aroma of new wine

As I opened the word to the story of Lazarus, the Lord dropped a word in my heart.

If it resonates with you, let it do what only His words can.

It had come upon the 4th day as Jesus arrived to Lazarus’ tomb.

He was dead. Really dead.

After 3 days, Lazarus was considered too far gone.

When Jesus asked for the tomb to be rolled away, those on the scene declared, “He’s too far gone! The stench!  The death on Lazarus is too much. “

Jesus then called Lazarus to wake up and come out of the grave.

Jesus told those same people who had thought Lazarus was too far gone, to unbind his hands and feet and take the grave clothes off of him.

This is what I heard the Lord say…

Lazarus! It’s time to wake up.

I have called you to life.

The stench of death has surrounded your journey.

I call you into the aroma of new wine.

The very people who didn’t want the grave stone moved and thought you were too far gone.

The very people who were wise, skilled and “been there, done that.”

They weren’t thinking My thoughts.

They couldn’t see from My vantage point.

My thoughts confound the wise.

They are higher than human thoughts.

It’s time to forgive.

“Those people,” My precious Bride, My Church.

Your church.

It’s time to step out of the pain and into My freedom.

My Church is not Your Savior.

My Bride is not Your Identity.

My Church is not The Lifter of your head.

My Bride is not Your Great Physician. Your Healer.

She is not your Provider.

She is not your talent agent.

She does not open doors for you.

She is not yet perfect.

She let you down.

She didn’t understand you.

She thought you were too far gone.

She couldn’t see your victory.

She underestimated My Power and the reach of My Love.

She underestimated your comeback.

Your strength.

Your courage.

She didn’t understand the fullness of what you needed.

But I did.

And I do.

My plan has always been for your good.

For your today.

For your tomorrow.

For heaven here.

For heaven there.

Could it be you were expecting her to be Me and fulfill you as I desire to?

It’s time to forgive.

Come back.

You are not meant to walk alone.

You are not meant to walk, bound.

It’s those who thought you were too far gone…those you need to forgive…who will watch your victory and smell your freedom.

My grace is enough for you.

You’re afraid.

Will you draw on My Comfort?

Will you medicate with My Peace?

Will you change your confession?

About you. About them.

About My Bride.

You have been acquainted with fragility and ignorance.

Life and Love.

Forgive.

It ’s time to walk out, leaning on Your Beloved.

Trust Me as I heal and protect your heart.

Lazarus, whether anyone thinks it possible or not, I am calling you out!

I’m calling you to walk out, with the aroma of new wine!
